Information we process
- Account information, including email address, display name, and Firebase Authentication identifier.
- Room information, including memberships, turn state, messages, room notes, invite codes, and activity history.
- Notification preferences and device push tokens required to deliver alerts.
- Limited technical diagnostics used to identify failures and improve reliability.
How information is used
- Authenticate accounts and prevent unauthorized access.
- Synchronize rooms and turn order between members.
- Send notifications and nudges when enabled.
- Maintain app security, reliability, and abuse protection.
Sharing and service providers
Up Next does not sell personal information. The app uses Google Firebase services for authentication, database storage, server functions, notifications, and app security. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
Retention and deletion
Account information remains while your account is active. Room information follows the room lifecycle. Deleting your account removes account-linked app data through server-side deletion processes, subject to limited security or legal retention requirements.
Your choices
- Change your display name and notification preferences in Profile.
- Disable notifications through iOS Settings.
- Leave rooms you no longer want to participate in.
- Delete your account from Profile.
Security
Up Next uses Firebase Authentication, App Check, Firestore Security Rules, and server-controlled operations to protect access and preserve data integrity. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Up Next is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
